Cover Art Anthology
This assignment required me to make a book cover using the overarching theme of freedom. I decided that since America is a free country, the use of the American flag would clearly put that point across. I do feel as though I did fairly well on this project, but I could most certainly do better. The techniques that I used included blending modes and additions of color; however, I have learned how to do so much more in Photoshop that this project seemed simple. With this being said, I believe that its simplicity focuses right on the point of freedom that I was trying to portray and thus completed the assignment. The effect of patriotism that I portrayed is, I feel, depicted in a good way throughout the photo. If I could do this project again, I think I would spend more time brainstorming for how I was going to make it the best that it could possibly be.
