VECTOR SELFIE

This image shows my vector self portrait, which I spent the entire
third quarter of Graphic Design 1 working on. I was required to choose a photo of myself and recreate it in Adobe Illustrator so that it mirrors the actual photo in a creative, picture-like way.
Overall, I am extremely proud of how this final design turned out.
I put all of my Adobe Illustrator skills to the test and pushed me to be a better graphic designer. I had to trace every nook and cranny of mine that was visible in the photo, as well as perfectly match the colors of my skin, hair, shirt, and other aspects of the photo to those that were present in the image.
Throughout the creation of this graphic representation, I learned
many skills about Adobe Illustrator and the Adobe products in general. I was pushed to my limits on the knowledge that I already had, and from there, had to expand what I knew to whole new heights. I became comfortable with the brush tool through creating my hair, and added textures to every aspect of the photo to make it more lifelike. Overall, I am very proud with the work I was able to produce in completing this product, and it truly enhanced my skills as a graphic designer.
