DOODLE FOR GOOGLE

This is the design that I submitted to the Doodle for Google design competition. We had to incorporate the letters of "Google" into a design that was unique and creative to ourselves. I chose to put the letters in cursive and inside some balloons that were flying away. To me, that represented creativity as graphic designers break outside of their shell and outside of their comfort zones.
In order to create this, I used adobe illustrator. I started with a light blue background and watched a few tutorials to create the wispy look of the clouds that floated around in the background. I then added my balloons, lowering their opacity just a bit so that they would resemble balloons more and actually look like they were floating away. Finally, I added the lettering.
This was an interesting project as I had to go through the entire design process, from thumbnails to rough drafts to the final, in order to create this design. I am proud of the design that I was able to create and put out there, and I hope to participate in this again in the future.
